Oak Cottage & Greene Barn 2026

The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County has let contracts to improve access and enjoyment of the north end (Hobson & Greene Roads) of the Greene Valley Forest Preserve: move the preserve entrance closer to the barn, build a canoe/kayak launch, flush washrooms, new picnic shelter, and gathering amenity near the barn.

Several opportunities exist to support adaptive re-use of Oak Cottage and Greene Barn.

Gratitude

You can't be grateful for what you don't notice.

"Control your attention, not your time."

"All shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be well."

Breathe deeply.
